My name is Tyler Freeborn. I'm a native of Solomon Island, one of the most beautiful spots in Maine - in all of New England, I think. I live ten minutes out of Kingsmouth, a tiny seaside town that's been here since 1667, according to the official site. But this blog isn't about me, and it's not about the history of this island - not really. It's about the strange things that have happened - and are happening - here.
For as long as anyone can remember, Solomon Island has been a hotbed of paranormal activity and monster sightings. Locals know this all too well, it's not a secret although some try to pretend it is, but no one ever really talks about it - not off-island and not to non-islanders. "Keep our secrets to ourselves" - that's the unofficial town motto. Outsiders aren't welcome, not when it comes to what goes on in the dark places of Solomon Island.
Which is why I'm starting this blog. I was going to do it anonymously but then I figured I had nothing to be afraid of. Worst that can happen is someone spits in my coffee at Susie's, or my mail doesn't get delivered. It's time someone stepped up and said what everyone here's thinking:
